WHERE THE SEA MEETS THE SKY

In the northeastern part of Møn lies beautiful Liselund, a park-like garden in English romantic style, that was established in 1790 by a French nobleman as a gift of love to his wife, Elisabeth. This mural portrays a large-scale design where delicate hand-drawn branches of beech gracefully spread out over a decorative vivid paper structure.

LISE
Some trees in the beech forest at Klinteskoven are titled the oldest beech trees in Denmark. Fragile hand-drawn branches of beech, on a rough paper surface, reflect barren Nordic nature and give a sense of natural materials.

MOLN – MURAL AND MOLN – CEILING MURAL
Studying the sky is like drifting away from reality, pausing to contemplate the course of nature. In the distance, the peregrine falcon hovers weightlessly across the sky over the coast of Møn. Moln is Swedish for "cloud".

HAV – MURAL
A rich fish habitat attracts both fishermen and birds to Møn. On the cracked chalk-white bottom, sea trout live their own life. Poetic, weightless, and decorative in all its simplicity. Hav is Swedish for "ocean".

CEDER – MURAL
The coastline at Møn Klint consists of limestone with fossils of both animals and plants that are millions of years old. Ceder, a type of cypress, can be seen as the Nordic version of an exotic palm tree, here embedded in raw limestone that gives a modern, botanical expression.

MAGNUS
